SHARE IDEAS AND GET TALKING
START-UP CHATS WITH COOKIES & CURLY'S
Have you got an idea? Or perhaps the seeds of a business are already there, but as for what happens next, there’s a bit of a bridge to cross.
This event is for you. Come along and hear from people right at the ‘start-up moment’ — Toni from The Cookie People and Jono from Curly’s Athletes.
Two very different businesses doing things their own way and standing out in the world of start-ups - driven by purpose, excited by growth, and passionate about the communities they live and work in.
Hosted at The Cookie People Café in Messingham, this event promises to bring together inspired people to share great ideas and talk about all things start-up.

IT'S TIME TO TRANSFORM THAT SIDE HUSTLE.
IT'S TIME TO COME TO THE MELTING POT
WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT
WHAT IS SCUNTHORPE SOUP?
We believe that an essential part of unlocking economic growth for the area is supporting an environment where start-ups thrive and small businesses can grow.
Scunthorpe Soup is about us exploring ‘how we grow the local economy’. Our approach is about going where the energy is, having a willingness for risk, a culture of collaboration, removing barriers, and accepting that we don’t have the answers.
LET'S DO GREAT THINGS
WHAT ARE THE MELTING POTS?
The Melting Pots is just one part of what this collective of passionate folk wants to do; they are helping to create environments where great ideas can flourish and people can have great conversations about doing great things.
“We don’t know what the next ‘big thing is’ and so we don’t need to focus on the ‘thing’, ‘the solution’, or ‘the answer’, but rather create the environment for individuals and businesses to identify it, believe in it, and have the ability and freedom to make big things happen.”
This work endeavors to create a fertile environment in North Lincolnshire for ‘big things’ to develop. Achieving this
through a
bold entrepreneurial culture,
creating opportunities to collaborate,
developing a voice for economic growth, helping to
influence change, and
enabling the development of individuals and businesses.
COMMIT TO YOUR IDEAS
HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?
We have space for up to 12 people - small enough to keep the chats meaningful.
Please complete the short form below. This helps us understand a little about you, your idea, or your area of expertise. From there, we’ll curate a group that sparks great conversation.
As space is limited, we may not be able to include everyone this time. If that’s the case, we’ll keep you in mind for future sessions. We might group people by common themes or mix things up - we’ll see what makes for the best conversations once we know who’s interested!
